Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow, recently hosted an IC3 Regional Forum to promote best practices in career and college counseling, professional development for school counselors, and new opportunities for educators in the region. Organized by the IC3 Movement, this was part of an event series of 30+ forums held annually around the world as a global effort to establish career and college counseling in every school.
The day-long event consisted of learning sessions on various topics focused on best counseling practices, networking opportunities to strengthen the education community, methods for integrating counseling into the academic curriculum and calendar, and building relationships with universities for students’ best-fit higher education choices.
A university fair featuring 25 universities, plus renowned national and international universities from across United States, United Kingdom, Guyana, Canada, Australia, Ireland, India, etc. was also organized for students during the forum. The event was a platform for learners and parents to interact with university admission representatives to understand the avenues and new-age career choices that exist.
The Principal of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Ms Poonam Kochitty, emphasized the significance of hosting such events and stated, “Career Counselling Regional Forums such as these provide a perfect platform for networking, learning and sharing with the best minds in the field of student career guidance . One can only lead a happy, productive and fulfilled life, if right guidance, right decisions and choices made, help one to be engaged in jobs that play to one’s strengths and hence give happiness.”
