Learning Programs
Education has evolved beyond traditional book-based teaching and rote memorization. We are dedicated to employing innovative teaching methods to nurture global citizens with a comprehensive understanding of various life aspects. Our goal is to foster creativity, environmental awareness, and academic excellence. We strive to instill a spirit of lifelong learning, empowering our students to become effective change agents. Emphasizing experiential learning, we ensure that students can apply and integrate their knowledge into everyday life. Our curriculum includes education on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), life skills, design thinking, digital literacy, financial literacy, and many more essential skills.
Our Learning strategies
Design thinking is a lifelong skill that children may use to tackle complex problems throughout their lives and is a valuable skill to learn early in life.
Design thinking is an iterative process used to solve real-world problems. At its core, design thinking has several steps: Identify a problem, design potential solutions, test the solutions, redesign as needed and share the solutions with a wider audience. Design thinking is used regularly in many fields (engineering, business, IT, health care, etc.) and has recently gained wide popularity due to the effectiveness of this problem-solving approach.
Design thinking helps children build a resilience-focused mindset and teaches many of the 21st century skills, such as the four C’s: creativity, collaboration, compassion, and confidence. These are skills children can use to address increasingly complex problems throughout their lives.
It also teaches empathy and perseverance. STEAM (science, engineering, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics) are also skillsets young children learn through design challenges.
Experiential learning is a process through which students develop knowledge, skills, and values from direct experiences outside a traditional academic setting. It emphasizes learning through action, reflection, and application.
Making lessons meaningful for students is a key element of successful teaching, with relevance playing a vital role in learner engagement. When students perceive their learning as relevant to their lives, they become emotionally invested and more motivated to engage with the content. Establishing real-world connections fosters curiosity and a genuine interest in learning and problem-solving, driven by intrinsic motivation rather than external factors like grades.
Integrating multiple subjects when teaching a topic helps students relate to and retain the information for the long term. For instance, integrating math and music or using math concepts to teach dance allows students to see the connections between disciplines, making the learning experience more engaging and memorable. This interdisciplinary approach not only enhances understanding but also fosters a deeper appreciation for how different fields of knowledge interrelate in the real world.
We teach our primary students basic life skills, to foster independence such as making a bed, organizing things, understanding money concepts, making to-do list etc. During assemblies, we show videos that illustrate human values like empathy and helping others. For our senior students, we aim to foster a culture of innovation, ideation, creativity, design thinking, and entrepreneurship through various activities and platforms, including internships and specialized lessons on design thinking and innovation.
We prioritize the holistic development of our students, recognizing the significant role that social and emotional skills play in their lives from an early age. We teach the importance of clear communication, active listening, cooperation, collaborative problem-solving, constructive conflict resolution, navigating diverse social and cultural contexts, leadership, and seeking or offering help as needed. Through assemblies, discussions, and active participation, we expose students to various current world and societal issues and encourage them to share their thoughts, fostering their understanding and development of these essential skills.
Arts integration is "an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form. Students engage in a creative process which connects an art form and another subject and meets evolving objectives in both."
Through art integration, students use alternative ways (e.g., dancing, acting, writing, speaking, drawing, singing) to make sense of content they are learning and demonstrate their understanding.
