Admission Process
What are the age criteria being followed for admission in the pre-primary classes?
The minimum age of the child as on 31st March (in the year seeking admission) should be:
- Pre Nursery – 3 + years
- Nursery – 4+ years
- KG – 5+ years and so on
What if a child is not meeting the age criteria by a few days/months, should the parent not apply?
Is there an entrance exam for seeking admission?
Class KG & 1: The admission can be confirmed after an interaction and informal assessment, which is done to check the level of the child, as per the class.
Class II – V: Admission to Junior classes can be attained after the child attempts the entrance tests in three subjects, i.e – English, Mathematics and Hindi.
Class VI -X: Admission to Middle and Senior school can be attained after the child attempts the entrance tests for four subjects, i.e – English, Mathematics, Science and Hindi.
Class XI: Written test in English and the subjects applied for, along with a viva.
What is the registration process?
Admission in Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow is purely based on seat availability. However, siblings of existing children would be given priority. The process is online. A registration form needs to be filled along with uploading of documents (as mentioned in the form). A registration fee of Rs.1500 is to be paid online to complete the process.

Which board is Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow, affiliated to?
- CBSE Curriculum: This curriculum is offered for learners of all age groups (All Classes)
- The school has introduced the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) in the academic year 2024-25. The IEYC is for pre-primary learners. IEYC is for children aged between 3 to 6+ years. It covers all areas of learning relevant to the early years, kindergarten and pre-school.
What is the school’s approach to education?
What is the course coverage in Nursery-KG or at the end of Nursery what all will the child know?
The course content of Nursery and KG encompasses learning of Languages, Numeracy, concepts of Science and Social Studies, Performing and Visual Art, Personal Social and Physical Education. All these subjects are integrated into multiple disciplinary learning.
What does a typical day of a Nursery child look like?
A typical day for a Nursery child is engaging, varied, and developmentally appropriate, fostering a love for learning through play-based and experiential activities. The day includes a welcoming greeting, introduction to the day’s theme, calendar discussions, rotations through learning stations, hands-on explorations, outdoor play, art, music, dance, STEAM activities, lunch time, literacy, numeracy, and story reading. Teachers read stories related to the theme, children engage in discussions, and unstructured playtime is provided. The curriculum is flexible, allowing teachers to adapt to children’s interests and developmental needs, ensuring each child feels valued and excited about learning.
What are the different language options available in Seth Anandram Jaipuria School?
From Grade 5 onwards the students are offered Sanskrit Language.
What is the school’s homework policy?
In early years children do not get any homework. Grade I to Grade III may get very light homework on weekends. Grade IV and V children may get homework twice a week. Rest of the classes have assignments as per requirement.
What is the school’s evaluation process?
The school follows the CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation). In the Pre- Primary classes, the students are assessed on the various skills and concepts that they acquire in and outside the class. In the other classes, different types of Formative and Summative Assessments are held regularly where children are assessed on what they have learned and what they can do, through different assessment tools. A formal report is handed over to the parents bi-annually.
Co-Curricular Exposure
Are picnics/camps/field trips compulsory?
No, they are not mandatory, however, all kids are encouraged to be a part of these events.
How is the day planned for Grade I and above? How much emphasis is laid on activities and academics?
Students of Grade 1 to V have a spread-out schedule where a balance of academics and activities is kept in mind. All students are offered all sports like Skating, Soccer, Tennis, Basketball, Badminton, Yoga, and Taekwondo. Indoor activities include performing and visual arts such as Music, Dance, Art, and Craft are an integral part of their schedule. The ratio of academics and activities would be 60:40.
Does the school conduct Olympiads?
Yes, we conduct Olympiads from Grade I to Grade XII.
Does the school conduct/participate in MUN?
Seth Anandram Jaipuria School organizes one of the biggest MUN in the city. Students participate enthusiastically and have won accolades.The students participate in several inter school MUNs both within and outside the city.

What are the security measures taken by the school in school bus and in school premises?
- The school has 3-tier security system
- Manual guarding at gates
- CCTV coverage of the entire premises
- School buses have trained lady attendants and GPS tracking
- SOPs are rigorously followed and audited internally as well as externally.
Do we have access to CCTV classrooms?
For the safety of the students and staff, CCTV system is in place at all vantage points throughout the school and is monitored by competent personnel.
How is the dispersal of Pre Primary and Primary students done?
Students are handed over to the parents/guardians by the class teachers. No child will be allowed to leave the school premises without cross-checking the ID-Card with the photograph of the person who has come to collect the child.
Are the nannies, cleaners and housekeeping staff on school rolls verified?
The housekeeping staff including the nannies are employed through certified professional agencies for the purpose of ensuring well-groomed trained staff. The staff is strictly screened for background checks (police verification), health checks (periodical medical tests), knowledge, experience and training for their role in the department. Additionally, they are made to undergo periodical checks and regular training workshops to keep enhancing their ability to perform tasks given to them.

Is it mandatory for a Nursery child to be toilet-trained?
It’s recommended if the child gets toilet-trained before joining school. We too train the child in school.
What is the student teacher ratio?
Pre Nursery-Prep: 30 students with 1 teacher and a co-teacher common between two sections.
Does the school cater to children with special needs?
The school has a Special Educator and a School Counsellor. The school believes in inclusive education though limited seats in this category are available.
How often does the school conduct workshops & training for staff?
Professional development of the staff is an ongoing process that is conducted throughout the year. For this purpose, the Jaipuria group has STTAR – Saamarthya Teachers Training Academy of Research. The school staff is 100% trained not only to teach the curricula they have been assigned but also for personal and professional grooming through regular workshops.
Are there any workshops for parents?
The school lays a lot of emphasis on parental connect. A lot of workshops/webinars/orientations for parents are held throughout the session. Parental engagement is encouraged by inviting them as participants, judges, and speakers for various events.
