The Kindergartners of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow learnt about water pollution and its impact on humans, animals, and the environment in line with SDG 13 – Climate Action. They discovered pollution sources such as factories, farms, homes, chemicals, garbage, and sewage, and the harmful effects on wildlife, plants, and human health.
A simple experiment demonstrated how pollution can harm water and its inhabitants, and practical ways to help were shared. The event was successful, leaving children with a deeper understanding of the importance of clean water and how to protect it. They were encouraged to take action by spreading the message and practicing their knowledge and understanding. As part of the event, the children actively participated in a cleanup activity, demonstrating the importance of responsible environmental stewardship and making a positive impact on the local water body.
