Creating Learning Moments Together: Open Day Highlights at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow

On August 12, 2024, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow, hosted an engaging and interactive Open Day for students and parents of Grade 1 and Grade 2. The event was designed to offer parents the opportunity to participate in various subject-related activities alongside their children, promoting a collaborative and immersive learning experience.

The Open Day featured a variety of hands-on activities across different subjects, allowing parents and children to explore, create, and learn together. The subjects covered included English, Hindi, Maths, EVS, Dance, Music, Art, and Computer Science. Each activity was carefully planned, keeping in mind the teaching methodologies followed in the classroom.

An interesting activity related to articles and proper nouns was conducted in English, sparking curiosity and enhancing language skills. In EVS, the focus was on activities related to the senses, where children explored the world through sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. The Maths section was a hit, with kids super excited to participate in a lively game of BINGO.

As Jaipuria believes in the holistic development of the YOUNG JAIPURIANS, each segment was thoughtfully managed. The joy and energy in the dance room were palpable as parents and children danced together, enjoying the harmony of movement and music.

The Art activity was a highlight, offering a space where creativity knew no bounds. Parents and children collaborated on various art projects, including painting, drawing, and crafting.

In the Computer Science section, the focus was on digital skills presented in a fun and accessible way. Parents and children worked together on simple coding exercises, exploring the logic behind programming through interactive games and puzzles. This activity provided a hands-on introduction to technology, sparking interest in the digital world.

The Open Day was marked by high levels of excitement and engagement from both parents and children. The collaborative nature of the activities allowed families to bond over shared learning experiences. Parents appreciated the opportunity to better understand their children’s interests and abilities, while children enjoyed the support and encouragement from their parents as they navigated through the different activities.
